ITH Surf City Hostel Hermosa Beach

ITH Surf City Hostel opened in 1996 in Hermosa Beach, California, and is located about 20 minutes drive south of LAX Airport in one of the best areas of Los Angeles. The hostel became in International Travelers House in February 2023.

The hostel provides shared room (dorm) and private room accommodation to travelers from all over the world.

Some of the things which make us popular with guests include our location on the beach, the fact that we are the safest hostel in Los Angeles, the bars, nightclubs, restaurants within walking distance, our proximity to public transportation, supermarkets, and cinemas, and much more. And the fact that there is so much to see and do every day! THE FIRST FLOOR OF THE HOSTEL CAN BE NOISY ON SOME DAYS OF THE WEEK SINCE WE ARE LOCATED ABOVE A BAR. IF YOU WANT A QUIETER ROOM THEN DO NOT BOOK OUR ECONOMY ROOMS.

Access to our washing machine and tumble dryers and our fully equipped kitchen.

As well all that you will enjoy the beach and bars, our knowledgeable and friendly international staff are always here to help.

We provide free WiFi. Complimentary breakfast is not provided for the safety of our guests.

There is free street parking within walking distance of the hostel and there is metered parking next to us. Please read the parking signs to avoid fines.

Must have valid passport ID to check-in, show of on going traveling

Check-in time is from 4pm-12am the next day.

Please be aware that taxes are not included in your reservation total, you pay it when you check in.
Sales taxes 14 % payable to property. A credit card is needed to keep it on file for damages. Please be aware of our policy not accepting Los Angeles residents, this is a hostel for travelers so LA County residents are not considered travelers for our business.

Please be aware that Surf City Hostel is located in the entertainment district of Pier Plaza and is subject to higher than normal music levels from surrounding bar & restaurant venues...particularly Thursday - Saturday nights.

-Guests can stay for a maximum 14 days in a month.

-All guests must be over 18 years old to stay at the hostel

-Guest must follow hostel rules otherwise they will be asked to leave without a refund

-No refunds after check in

-Guests are not allowed to use the business address as their personal address or to get deliveries. Packages or letters will be returned to the senders when received.
