Hostel Casa Areka is located in the heart of Panama City in a nice neighborhood. There is a 24hr supermarket and restaurants opposite the hostel. The famous Beachwalk is a few steps away as well as two big malls, rooftop bars and even a park at the sea!
The highlight is the amazing pool area surrounded by palm trees with a BBQ area to relax after a busy day in the city. The common area with pool table, sofas and great internet connection invites to chill. The common kitchen is equipped with everything you need to cook your own meals.
You can choose between private rooms as well as dorms – all with air-conditioning. Breakfast, Wifi, lockers and towels are included.
It is a great place to meet people with a very nice atmosphere. Owned by a Panamanian and his Swiss woman, they have found the way to make you feel at home at this small Hostel with their friendly STAFF.

Casa Areka has a great vibe and gives you space to connect with other travellers but also to separate yourself from people if you need. The staff (and the volunteers) were super nice, helpful and patient. I would definitely go back.
