The hostel is very nicely located and the views from the terrace and common area are amazing. However the high price attracts older people and groups rather than low-budget travelers. This has a big impact on the atmosphere in the hostel. Also the idea of placing bathrooms and toilets in the dorms is quite bad. You have all the smells right there, next to your bed... I liked my stay but I would not have payed this money for it again. The next time I was in El Calafate I chose another hostel.

Such a beautiful view of the lake with awesome common areas! The staff were super helpful with exchanging money and helping book trips or just giving general tips. The rooms were really nice too and the free breakfast is amazing!
