Make use of our free shuttle service, help yourself to tea and coffee, enjoy a game of giant chess or chill out with Netflix in the movie room. Our kitchen is well equipped, including herbs, spices and cooking oil – all for free!
Sequoia Lodge is the perfect place to explore the world famous Marlborough Sounds or walk the Queen Charlotte Track. Our fantastic staff are full of local area knowledge and can book tours, make great suggestions suited to you and arrange onward travel all at your convenience.
With plenty of space to get cosy by the fire, enjoy a meal or relax outside in the summer, we’re sure that you’ll love your stay and you’ll wish you could stay longer!

Nice cute comfy hostel. Manager/ owner is very nice. Only one charging port per dorm room but that’s the only downside!

Dorms are spacious. 2 of 4 cookers were not working. It felt like the hostel was still recovering from the battering Covid gave all businesses. We are.staying again and have not bothered to check other hostels in town. The trucks driving passed at night would easily wake a light sleeper. It is good value for money
