Hostelling International New York has been praised by many of our visitors for their sociable atmosphere. Our guests say their staff are ‘very helpful and welcoming’, they have ‘good communal areas to mingle’ in and ‘they offer a lot of extra activities (tours, trips) which are value-for-money’. There’s two metro stations within two blocks, connecting directly to the Lincoln Centre, Times Square, Penn Station, Brooklyn and Soho. We like their large sunken patio – a rare space to stretch out in Manhattan.

HI New York City’s modern amenities include two floors of common room space for lounging and socializing, a 36-burner kitchen for guest use, and of course free Wi-Fi. For our guests comfort, we offer beautifully renovated bathrooms and showers with free linens and towels. Each guest room has individual heat/air conditioning controls. We house Manhattan's largest private outdoor patio, available for impromptu soccer games or training and orientations.
Our 24-hour Welcome and Information Desk is always there to help with any questions. In addition, guests can get information on what to visit in the city and how to get there safely and securely.
For guests who want to relax, stay in and enjoy movies in our large in-house theatre. Our free billiards table and great common spaces are great spots to meet fellow hostellers. Guests can check out sanitized pool cues and balls to play. The lounge and game rooms are open 24/7.
Conveniences abound at HI New York City hostel. Travelers love cooking meals in our huge common kitchen. Guests can use private lockers with their own lock. There’s an also on-site coin-operated laundry facility, snacks and drinks available 24/7, and an Internet room with public computers.

Dość spory kompleks, położony niecałe 2 minuty spacerem od stacji metra i jakieś 6 min. od Central Parku. Sporo restauracji i sklepów w pobliżu.
Świetna kawiarnia na miejscu, bardzo fajny dziedziniec, spora kuchnia, miejsce do grania w bilarda.
Trochę mała ilość łazienek, jak na ilość pokoi, ale w sumie tylko raz musiałam czekać w kolejce, by wziąć prysznic.
Łóżka trochę skrzypiące i chwiejące, ale całkiem wygodne.
Bardzo sympatyczny personel. Polecam i już szykuję się do kolejnego pobytu :

Had a great stay here - hotel is very modern, has its own cafeteria with good selection of food and coffee :) Rooms (12-person) are not so big, but there's a bed and a big locker that even has charging ports inside. Power sockets are mounted in the bed above head with a little shelve over it - quite convenient. Bathrooms and showers are clean and there's a lot of them. Twice w week there's a comedy night - good way to meet fellow travellers and have some fun :)
