Mandala is a eco friendly and social hotel and hostel.
Steffi´s Mandala is located right on the famous Narigama beach.
It offers 4 beautiful private rooms for couples and friends, a mixed dorm room with 10 beds and two female dorms with 4 beds.
Our restaurant offers healthy vegan and vegetarian food like different bowls, wraps, burgers, snacks, homemade smoothies and a good coffee.
It is open from 08:00am until 08:00pm. Our bar is open till late. :)
All our hostel and restaurant guests don´t need to buy water. Instead of selling plastic bottles our guests can use the water refill station.

We now also offer kayak tours on Rathgama Lake followed by Rice&Curry. This is not to be missed and is especially fun in the company of other hostel guests. Get in touch with us for more information.

We do not have public refrigerators and community kitchen, as we have a restaurant and bar operation. Please do not consume your own alcoholic beverages in the restaurant and bar area. :)
Wifi is only available in the restaurant area. We also do not have mosquito nets in the rooms.
If you have any suggestions for improvement, please feel free to contact us, we will gladly accept and implement them! :)

Ich habe mich extrem wohlgefühlt bei Steffi und ihrem freundlichen Team! Die Details sind super liebevoll gestaltet und die Atmosphäre ist richtig einladend. Ich habe die Nacht im gemischten Dorm gebucht und kann echt gar nichts bemängeln. An den Fenstern sind Moskitonetze, es gibt Schließfächer und bequeme Betten. Das Essen ist super lecker und auch mit ganz Liebe zubereitet. Der Passion Daiquiri ist besonders zu empfehlen für einen gemütlichen Sonnenuntergang. Ich komme auf jeden Fall wieder zurück!

Steffi‘s Mandala was my 1st stop when visiting Sri Lanka.
I booked a double room, which was clean comfy and quite charming.
The place is located right on the beach and everything I was interested on was within walking distance.
The staff and Steffi and really kind and helpful.

The only thing good about this hostel is the location, it's right on the beach. Other than that I don't see any justification for the price of this place. Was the most expensive dorm I stayed at in sri lanka. For this price there should at least be AC, maybe towels or bug nets, but no. Boiling hot room with hard beds.
Facilities are dated and the staff did not give us a run down of the area or introduction.
For the price this hostel doesn't provide anything worth it other than being on the beach.
