Koalas Perth City Backpackers is Perths newest and freshest hostel situated next to the famous Perth Mint and less than 1km to Hay Street Shopping mall in Perth's central business district. Directly in front of the hostel is the Free Red Cat Bus which comes every 5 minutes which will take you around the city area for free.

We have private double , twin rooms, 4 and 6 bed dorms with shared bathrooms and an affordable 28 bed dorm with double en-suite bathroom. We have a luggage store so you can check out in the morning leave your luggage and collect later in the day.

Koalas has free internet WIFI, and you can play pool/billiards with your newly made friends which by the time you leave you will call family. We have parking onsite which is $10 per day or $50 per week. Perth Underground train station is 1km, Northbridge 1.2km, Elizabeth Quay 1.2km and Kings park 3.1km.

Very nice hostel. Easy to meet other backpackers. The staff is very friendly and have personal approach. The kitchen is very good equipped and there is a lot of space. Bathrooms are very clean and there is a free pool table in the common area. Would definitely recommend to stay there. The bottle shop is 2 minutes away 😉

WORST HOSTEL IN THE WORLD. Do not stay at this hostel, it is the hostel from hell. Firstly, $360 a week is a complete rip off, The bedroom I was staying in was down in a basement with 20 other beds, there was no AC at all, there is no hot water, the water in the showers and taps is freezing cold, all I could smell all night was sewage, the kitchen was very dirty and the hostel was full of creepy men including a man who walked about the bedroom with an erection. The duvet I was given stank
