The best located backpackers in town, Alice Springs YHA is built within the grounds of an historic outdoor movie theatre.
This is definitely somewhere different to stay! The hostel has the big outdoor movie screen showing free films nightly. It has a lush outdoor area and swimming pool, all adding to the relaxed friendly atmosphere. All the rooms are air conditioned, and there is a BBQ, and tour desk. Now enjoy the free, fast Wi-Fi all throughout the property.

In a very central location, you can easily explore all the sights of Alice Springs from the YHA. The hostel is close to shops, cafes and pubs. Base yourself here for exploring the Western McDonnell Ranges including Simpsons Gap and Glen Helen, or for trips to Ayers Rock. The hostel tour desk can help with bookings and there are lots of YHA member discounts.

The hostel has a good location and the staff are so friendly and helpful. The rooms weren’t that clean nor were the bathrooms/ kitchen. It is a great place to stay for a night or two.

we enjoyed our stay in a private twin room, the kitchen facilities was great ! the shower was good and clean, the aircon doesn't have a switch to turn off at night found it far too cold but lovely clean and spacious room ! - llounge area had plenty go do as well as the movie proector on some nights was a lovely addition 🙂
