Good for a night or two, private rooms for a very good price considering other places. Social atmosphere lacks and it’s very difficult to cook with all the flies about in the kitchen. Staff were all lovely, very quiet place to relax, but wouldn’t consider it for more than a night or two.

A nice, quiet place (you can actually get a good nights sleep!). Staff were very helpful and the facilities were good. A good walk to the livelier parts of Cairns (Esplanade for example) but that meant it was quieter than others. It's proximity to Cairns Central shopping centre was a bonus.

Poor experience. Beds were horrible. Place was not clean (and not cleaned once during our 5 night stay). Freezing of a night as window broke. Manager rude, came into room with guests (not staying at hostel) without knocking whilst roommates asleep- left room with a slam of the door. Not a social environment. Shower facilities not complete. Bring fly spray if considering staying. Better hostels within Cairns for similar price.
