Memanta is an ideal place for beach lovers, nature enthusiasts, adventurous folks, conservationists, ecotourists and everyone who's seeking a bit of tranquility. We are located on a large oceanfront property with lots of greenery and excellent birdwatching opportunities. At night, sea turtles come ashore to lay their nests (Aug-Dec), which we protect in a hatchery with the help of volunteers. Being here, you can rest, relax, sunbathe, explore the nearby village or take a boat trip through the mangroves. We offer several activities and tours. There's also some marvellous surfing just out front! Memanta offers a fully equipped kitchen and communal area. If you don't want to cook yourself, we are happy to pepare varied meals for you. Be advised that only part of the property has electricity and running water. But have you ever enjoyed a nice traditional bucket shower? It's priceless! Our facilities are basic and rustic - perfect if you want to experience something totally different and get to know what 'ecotourism' really looks like! Memanta Terms & Conditions: Cancellation policy: 2 days before arrival. In case of a late cancellation or No Show, you will be charged the first night of your stay. Check in from 12:00 to 20:00 . Our buildings are not suitable for wheelchairs, but apart from that, we welcome everyone! We are a somehow adventurous place! Please keep in mind that our native beachfront forest involves some toxic or spiky plants, so you need to stay on the pathways. You will also live next to (rather harmless) scorpions, snakes and other critters. After long periods of rain, we have lots of mosquitos and part of the property might get inundated - it's all left natural! So please be prepared for that.
