Solid hostel with all necessary amenities in a great location right near fun bars and cerro alegre. Only negative is that reception is only open from 8am-11pm so when we arrived at 7am after a night bus we had to wait outside on the street.

Great hostel! Our private room with ensuite bathroom was comfy and clean, the kitchen was spacious and had everything you need, location was good and it's a small town so everything is walkable. Staff were very friendly and multi lingual. Only negative is that the bedroom was very cold, but there were more than enough blankets and the common areas were well heated.

Had a great stay here! Spacious kitchen, decent breakfast, hot showers & clean bathrooms, nice common space for meeting people, great location just steps from the central plaza & main attractions. Free wine was also a great addition. Only negative was that the wifi wasn't always great, but besides that this was a very solid hostel.

Had a very nice stay here for 3 nights in the private room on the rooftop terrace. The kitchen is great for cooking; breakfast is standard but good; bathrooms were mostly clean and showers were always hot; staff were very friendly and kindly let us check in early; nice common areas made it easy to meet people; location is great, walking distance to main square and many bars & cafes. Only downside was that the wifi wasn't very strong and didn't work at times.

Beautiful old building in a great location near many main attractions. Clean room, hot shower, decent breakfast, nice big common area. Only negatives were that the wifi didn't reach our room and the staffer who checked us in was extremely rude, as if she couldn't be bothered to do her job.

Overall great stay here, ended up extending to 2 nights. Comfy private double room, good wifi, always hot showers, simple but decent breakfast, and friendly, helpful staff. The pool was also a great perk. Location is excellent- easy walking distance to bus station and main strip. Only improvement I would suggest is that the bathrooms could be kept a little bit cleaner in terms of smell.

Great location just a few blocks from the main square and all other attractions. Very nice hostel with garden terrace, small but usable kitchen, and decent wifi throughout. There was a slight mix up in our booking since we arrived so early AM after a night bus, but we actually ended up in one of the beautiful on-site apartments with a full kitchen and living room for the same price as a regular private room. The apt made our stay even better! Would highly recommend.

Simple hostel but good value and overall good stay here. Had a nice, clean private room and very good wifi throughout the hostel. Bathrooms are also clean and showers have hot water (a bit too hot, can't control the temp). Kitchen is extremely basic, a little difficult to cook, but doable. Walkable to the main square, lake, and bus station.

This is an all around really great hostel. Clean bathrooms, very nice included breakfast spread, comfy private room, lovely and helpful staff, big kitchen to cook, close to main plaza, restos, bars, etc. Best part is beautiful rooftop terrace and big open dining area, makes it very easy to meet people. Loved it so much that we extended our stay from 3 to 5 nights.

Internet didn't work at all for the 4 days we stayed, despite 2 wifi networks and 2 computers. A real shame, because otherwise this is a good hostel- nice big courtyard, cheap private rooms, always hot showers. Bathrooms could be a bit cleaner. Some staff were lovely, others were completely unhelpful, one told me there's nowhere to eat nearby (not true: this hostel is in a great location 10 mins from the main plaza and all main attractions). With working Internet, would definitely recommend.

Overall very nice stay here: clean rooms, hot shower, nice continental breakfast included, great backyard terrace. Location is excellent: in the heart of miraflores and minutes from the malecon/waterfront park. Only downside is that the wifi was very weak/sometimes didn't work on the 2nd floor. Also, not necessarily a negative but the double buzzer system can be very frustrating, makes it difficult to move freely between the upstairs rooms and the main part of the hostel. Would recommend!

Very pretty and clean bnb, and the owner and her staff are lovely. We took the night bus the night before and she let us check in early in the am, which was great. Breakfast is self service but comprehensive: eggs, bread, juice, coffee, tea, etc. Location is also great, in the old city and just a few minutes walking to the main square. Only negative was that the room was very hot without a window, fan or AC. If the room had a fan this would be a 10/10.

As advertised, this is not a party hostel at all. But it's very clean, good price for private room with ensuite bathroom, towels included, and a nice common area. Wifi wasn't very strong anywhere in the hostel unfortunately. The owner is very nice and helpful. This hostel is a few blocks from the busiest area but because Banos is so small, everything is in walking distance, including the hot springs and the bus station. Overall good stay here.

The restaurant also doubles as a common area but besides that there's not much common space to mingle. Truly beautiful hostel, might be one of the best I have stayed at so far. Stayed in a private room with a fan, it was very clean and so were the bathroom/showers. Staff were lovely. Breakfast isn't included but it's reasonably priced. The best part was the hostel's proximity to San Antonio, an awesome and safe neighborhood with tons of great restos and cafes. Also walking distance to the party district. The pool was small but a great way to cool down on a steamy day. Overall amazing stay here.

The owners are absolutely fantastic- so warm, welcoming and friendly. Stayed in a private room, which was very clean, decent shower & towels included. Also has a very nice common area outdoors. There was a fan in the bedroom but it was still pretty hot, but that's just Cartagena in general. The location isn't great, need to take a taxi to the downtown bc it's not safe to walk, but the taxi is cheap each way. Close to the airport too. All factors considered, this was a good value for the price.

Had a great stay here. Was in a private room w/ a bathroom,very clean. The included breakfast was also very good, made fresh on the spot by staff (there were 3 choices, we had eggs, toast and coffee). The hotel is literally feet from the beach, and the town is very small so everything is within a 5-10 minute walk. The rooftop terrace and hammocks were amazing, beautiful views of the city and ocean. Definitely not a party hostel but great location and accommodations. Would definitely stay again.

The sheets and blankets look like they have not been washed in a very long time and the bathrooms need to be better cleaned. They are constantly wet and there is nowhere to hang a towel when showering. Besides 1 Brazilian and 1 American staff member, the rest of the staff is extremely unhelpful, condescending and rude at times. Better attitudes would go a long way when the accommodations leave much to be desired for.
