There is no airport and visitors are required to drive from South Africa or Maputo.
The last stretch is a dirt road and 4×4 vehicles are essential. To the north of Ponta do Ouro are also the bridge and Ponta Mamoli and Malongane.
Ponta do Ouro is the southern most point on the coast of Mozambique. It lies 15 km away from the border Kosi Bay
