A very warm welcome awaits you at the Sherief Hotel - the 'number 1' small hotel in Luxor. It is our aim to ensure that your stay with us is as carefree as possible. And if you cannot afford staying in a room, it is possible to sleep for 5 LE a night at our wonderful roof ! A hearty breakfast is also included in the price! Upon your arrival in Luxor we will arrange a free pick-up service from the train station to transfer you to the hotel. A taxi from the airport is 30LE, and 20LE from the bus station. Upon arrival at the hotel, you will be introduced to a member of our hospitality team, and given our card and telephone numbers, should you require any help or 24 hour assistance during your stay. We can organize and arrange local tours and tailor-made excursions at very competitive prices (no hassle) such as tours to the West Bank from 8.00am til 3.00pm using an air-conditioned minibus and an English-speaking guide. As well as tours to the eastbank and a chilling fellucca trip to the banana Islands returning at sunset ! Also we offer trips with camels, horses and donkeys...and it is possible to rent bikes and motorcycles ! And if you like we offer for you a felucca trip at the nile for one day and one night including food and drinks...!!! You see, with us you have a plenty choice to enjoy your time here in Luxor ! After you have explored both ancient Thebes and modern Luxor, why not relax in our new 'Bob Marley' roof top cafe and enjoy good company, good music and a great friendly atmoshpere with a cool drink (Stella only 7LE). Take in the fantastic views across the city, the river Nile, and the Theban Hills. Our advice belonging long trips to Assuan, Cairo, Hurghada or any other place , is to stay far away of this kind of tours. A organized tour includes a stay in hotels, food, sightseeings and so on. But many travellers said, that they paid lots of money for it and the hotels were run down and the food not good. For example if somebody offers you a tour from Cairo to Assuan you will never know which accommadation you will get in the way and if the service has a good quality. We advice you to check everything by yourself...you can choose where you stay and the sightseeings are not that expensive as many people are saying.
