Madras Hostel offer affordable accommodation for the backpackers and budget travellers alike. You have the choice of our fully airconditioned 6 beds dormitory , the 10 beds dormitory, the triple room or if you want some privacy - our double room. Pillow, linen, blanket and towel are provided. Individual cabinet locker are alloted to every guests at no extra cost. Safe deposit boxes are also available at the reception counter. Returning guests can also make use of our storage facilities at no charge. Additional items are available upon request. A simple complimentary breakfast is provided daily from 6.00am to 10.00am. Or if you are interested in doing some light cooking, you can make use of our kitchen facilities on the ground level and enjoy your own creation on the loft level which is reserved for dining purpose. More sophiscated foodfare can be provided upon request at reasonable cost. For some chatting and catching up with fellows travellers, or livening audio / video enjoyment, you can make use of our lounge corner on the 2nd level which has a hifi system and cable television. Or if you prefer some quiet moment, like reading, writing etc, you can make use of the study corner on the 3rd level. For a soothing warm or cold bath, ample showers with hot /cold water and modern western toilet facilities are available on the 2nd & 4th level. Or if you prefer to have a good massage for your tired foot, you can request our staff to call for a outside masseur to attend to you on our 3rd level. Guests are also provided with a complimentary 30 mins internet access per day on our 1025kbps high speed internet terminal on the ground level. And if you need to do some quick washing of your clothes before departing onward, you can make use of our coin operated washing machine on the loft level. For guests who enjoying bar-b-queing and enjoying the night sky, they can make their way to our top level - the roof garden and enjoy some nature and outdoor activities or even sunbathing during the day. We have ongoing plan to create a small bar on our ground level for guests who prefer not to venture out for some drinks with light music, but all this will have to depend on the authorities approval and we will try our very best to provide our guests an enjoyable stay in our place. Naturally, we knows what budget travellers needs as we have been running the Madras Hotel in Singapore for the past 7 years.
